A scarce early issue of The Britannia Magazine, the journal for the Cadets at the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth. The magazine was founded in 1884, and at this time in its history was published three times a year (Easter, Midsummer, and Christmas). This magazine contains photographs, an editorial, sports and recreation, cartoon, letters from cadets etc, and with sports results for the season. This issue contains a frontispiece of The King's Cup, an address at the College Chapel by Vice-Admiral Ronald A Hopwood, house reports and notes, rugby match reports and results etc. The last three pages of text are the names of the officers, masters and full list of cadets, with a group shot of the Drake Term.

Condition

This copy is in good plus condition. The binding is firm but there is some finger marking to the rear cover. Cadet's name to the front cover (Cadet Simons).
