A scarce early issue of The Britannia Magazine, the journal for the Cadets at the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth. The magazine was founded in 1884, and at this time in its history was published three times a year (Easter, Midsummer, and Christmas). This magazine contains photographs, an editorial, sports and recreation, cartoon, letters from cadets etc, and with sports results for the season. This issue contains a frontispiece photograph of the college in snow, house notes and reports, a review of the rugby season and match reports (with team photo) etc. The last three pages of text are the names of the officers, masters and full list of cadets, with a group shot of the Term Group.
Condition
This copy is in fair condition. The contents have nearly detached from the covers and there is some corner creasing to the content. There is also a little tearing to the pages around the stapled binding but all pages remain secure. Cadet's name to the front cover (Cadet Simons).
