A scarce early issue of The Britannia Magazine, the journal for the Cadets at the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth. The magazine was founded in 1884, and at this time in its history was published three times a year (Easter, Midsummer, and Christmas). This magazine contains photographs, an editorial, sports and recreation, cartoon, letters from cadets etc, and with sports results for the season. This issue has a frontispiece photograph of the Presentation of the Colours, and college notes, house reports, and cricket results (with team photo) and other summer sports etc. The last three pages of text are the names of the officers, masters and full list of cadets, with a group shot of the Benbow Term.

Condition

This copy is in good plus condition. There is some creasing to the covers but the binding remains secure and in strong readable condition. Cadet's name to the front cover (Cadet Simons).
