This anthology was first compiled in the immediate aftermath of the Great War. The poems are arranged by each year of the war, and poets who died during are marked with a cross. The poets include some well-known names Edmund Blunden, Rupert Brooke, G K Chesterton, Lord Dunsany, Wilfred Owen, Edward Thomas, Siegfried Sassoon, C H Sorley, Julian Grenfell, Edward Tennant, Alan Seeger etc as well as many neglected poets such as Jeffery Day, Patrick MacGill, May Wedderburn Cannan, and Barry Pain.

Condition

This copy is in good condition, with some light fading to the spine and mild scattered foxing throughout, though remaining in strong readable condition.
