"Adrian Bell's book takes the form of a diary, with an entry, in the shape of his inimitable essays, once or twice a week during the whole year. Sometimes he reflects on the events of the day, sometimes he is led into reminiscence or speculation. The pattern that emerges is that of the countryside that was once every man's birthright—a life lived in natural surroundings and at a natural pace".
Condition
The book is in very good condition, with some tanning and a previous owner's inscription to the ffep. The dustwrapper has been neatly price-clipped and is a little tanned to the spine and edges.
