Volume 1 of the Greyfriars Book Club (GBC) facsimile series. This book collects the facsimile reprint of the famous 10-part First Wharton Rebel Series from The Magnet (Issues Nos. 879 to 888, originally published in 1924–1925). Harry Wharton, usually the principled Captain of the Remove, suffers a major breach of discipline and falls out disastrously with Form Master Mr Quelch and Headmaster Dr Locke. Stubborn pride drives Wharton off the rails—he turns rogue, rejects the Famous Five, forms a rebellious clique, and earns the moniker of "the worst boy at Greyfriars."
