This copy comes from the library of Lita Roza, with her stamp, signature and date to the ffep. Lita Roza (1926–2008) was an English singer best known for her 1953 recording of How Much is That Doggie in the Window? She was born in Liverpool to a Spanish father and an English mother.
In the 1890s, the Spanish painter, author, and playwright Santiago Rusiñol and a group of young Catalan artists—most notably his friend and fellow painter Ramon Casas—moved to the Montmartre district of Paris. They lived and worked in an apartment near the famous Moulin de la Galette. Between 1890 and 1892, Rusiñol sent a series of chronicles back to the Barcelona newspaper La Vanguardia. These "letters from the windmill" were published as a compiled collection in 1894 under the title Desde el Molino.
Condition
The book is in good strong condition, some foxing to the prelims and rear endpapers but the main body of text is in clean condition. One small stain to the base of the spine and a patch of fading to the spine where there is loss to the dustwrapper. The wrapper is fragile and tanned to the spine with some small amount of loss and is secure by a loose mylar wrap.
As of July 2026, books remain duty-free. The price of the book incurs no extra US import fees.
