The Serpentine Gallery Poetry Marathon was a two-day live performance festival held on October 17–18, 2009, in Kensington Gardens, London. The line up brought together an eclectic mix of poets, conceptual artists, musicians, writers, and thinkers including: Poets & Writers: John Ashbery, Édouard Glissant, James Fenton, Kenneth Goldsmith, Alasdair Gray, Eileen Myles, Jacques Roubaud, and Richard Hell. Visual & Performance Artists: Vito Acconci, Gilbert & George, Tracey Emin, Tacita Dean, Jimmie Durham, Joan Jonas, and Liliane Lijn (who conducted her interactive Poem Game with audience members). Musicians & Spoken-Word Performers: Brian Eno collaborating with Karl Hyde (of Underworld), Saul Williams, Charlie Dark, and Gerhard Rühm.
Condition
Good condition. There is some bumping at the head of the spine and a little curling to the corners but remaining in strong readable condition.
As of July 2026, books remain duty-free. The price of the book incurs no extra US import fees.
