Dame Wiggins owns seven cats who perform extraordinary, human-like tasks such as sewing, ice-skating, reading, and using a bed warmer. Presented in this edition as a dialogue primer for children. It was originally published in 1823 and the woodcuts have been attributed to Robert Stennett. In 1885, Ruskin republished it adding four stanzas for which he asked Kate Greenaway to compose four new drawings for his new poems which are also published here.
Condition
This copy is in good plus condition. Some tanning to the spine and rubbing to the corners but contents in good order.
