A classic murder mystery from the prolific T C H Jacobs, inland revenue inspector by day and thriller writer by night who wrote under many different pseudonyms (Jacques Pendower, Penn Dower, Tom Curtis, Marilyn Pender, Marilyn Pendower, Kathleen Carstairs to name a few). One of his series was cases involving Superintendent John Bellamy of Scotland Yard of which this is one, and in which he works with Monsieur Dillon of the Paris Sûreté.

A reading copy. Covers dulled, foxing to page edges, tanning to the economy standard paper but remaining in good readable condition.
