Printing Details
First edition. Slim pamphlet, stapled binding. 21 × 17cm, 6pp.
This copy signed and dedicated by R C Trevelyan to Gordon Bottomley and his wife, the inscription dated 1937. It reads "To Gordon and Emily, from R C Trevelyan, Dec 1937". Oliver W F Lodge rented a property on Trevelyan's Surrey estate called Tanleather, which is where this pamphlet was produced, and probably given to Trevelyan as an early Christmas present.
The first issue of this poetry pamphlet published by Oliver W F Lodge, the eldest son of the famous physicist and spiritualist, printed to release his own poetry, it lasted until the following year. The poems are by 'William Foster' (Oliver W F's middle names). There are three poems "To the Fairest", ""The Wake of Charlie the Fiddler", and "The Maid of Malpas".
Condition
Good condition. The covers are tanned with spotted foxing, with light foxing to the page of text as well. Some corner creasing but quite an unusual title, and nice to be signed by R C Trevelyan.
