A rare protest document written to alert the international community to the atrocities committed against the Greek population in Asia Minor (Anatolia). The title translates as The Black Book of Greek Doctors: A Page from the Persecution of Hellenism in Turkey, and details the persecution of ethnic Greeks by the Ottoman/Turkish authorities, particularly focusing on the medical and intellectual community, during the years of the Great War and the immediate years after.
This book gathers the testimonies of Greek doctors, along with the priests and schoolteachers, and that of Greek doctors in the Army.
Condition
Good condition for age. There is some light fading to the covers at the edges and spine, and light foxing and age-toning to the pages but the book remaining in strong readable condition.
