A rare late Victorian issue of the Royal Horticultural Society's Journal for 1896. The first half of this issue is a collection of articles and presentations, including:
Forcing Lilies of the Valley by T Jannoch,
New Roses by H J Pemberton,
Gladioli by J Burrell,
Floral Demonstration by Rev. G Henslow,
Chrysanthemums by W H Lees.
The second half contains are extracts from the proceedings of the Society, including reports from the Scientific, Fruit, Floral, and Orchid Meetings, and donors of seeds and plants and with occasional illustration.
Condition
The binding is a little dull, occasional marking to the cloth Some age-toning to the pages but the inner binding is secure and the books remains in strong readable condition.
