It is a novel about the is about the clash between passion, particularly artistic pursuits (such as painting), and the mundane world of money, business, and social expectations.
Condition
A good reading copy. The covers are heavily tanned, and the pages are age-toned throughout. There is a little wear to the front hinge but essentially this copy remains in strong readable condition.
