Roseline Granet (b. 1936) is one of France’s most distinguished contemporary sculptors, best known for her bronze monument to Jean-Paul Sartre at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and her "Human Rights" monument in Meudon. A student of the legendary Ossip Zadkine and the Art Students League of New York, Granet’s work is characterized by a fluid, kinetic energy that bridges the gap between figure and motion.
In 1960, Granet co-founded the famed Fonderie Clémenti, the foundry where she worked alongside masters like Giacometti and Miró. This portfolio represents a rare, intimate look at the two-dimensional draftsmanship that serves as the architectural soul of her world-renowned bronze sculptures.
Whilst best known for her sculptures, this is a rare limited edition of a selection of 30 of her drawings. All plates are present, and they are (the plate index also gives the dimensions of the original artworks):

Condition
This copy is in very good condition. It has been stored rolled up so there is a slight curve to it but this can be straightened out, and would not prevent the images being framed. There is minor creasing to one corner of the portfolio, and a very little edgewear to one or two of the plates. They remain in very clean condition, and, most importantly, all thirty plates are present. An increasingly scarce collection of Roseline Granet's not often seen drawings.
