Published under the auspices of the French Mycological Society, this book has 74 full page colour plates, with text opposite describing the names, habitat, uses of the mushrooms pictured, followed by an appendice of 'definition botanique des Genres et Complements'.

Condition

Fair condition. The book is ex-library (Wye College in Kent, a well-known agricultural college that closed in 2009), with an attractive but browned college bookplate to the front pastedown. The book has the usual discard marks to the endpapers, and a small label to the spine. The yellow cloth has two nasty divots to the rear joint but the contents, and in particular the plates, are in very good condition.
