A collection of poetry from Newcastle journalist R Ellis Gerrard, many about the last two decade's wars (Afghan War, Boer War, Egyptian War), written whilst serving in the British Army (poems such as The Battle of Tel-El-Kebir, The Raid on the Rand, I Was with Kitchener etc). He also includes pen portraits of well-known Tyneside public men.
Condition
This copy is in very good condition for age. Two small marks to the spine but the inner binding is secure and the pages are clean.
