A coloured etching with distinct plate mark. The frame measures 23.5 × 29, the image is 15.5 × 21cm. Depicting the 'Bouquinistes of Paris', the Parisian booksellers along the banks of the River Seine, with Notre Dame in the background, a small tug in the river, and people searching the booksellers' boxes. This image probably dates from a 1940s printing.
Signed in pencil 'Baron', lower right of the image.
Condition
Good condition. This is an attractive piece, and the image itself is clear. There is a faint waterstain to the top right of the border. The frame is in good order, backed in brown paper over board. Strong and hooks attached so it is ready to hang.
