A popular novel by Claude Anet (pseud. Jean Schopfer, a French tennis player and novelist) which follows a young Russian woman who encounters a Don Juan and falls in love with him. The film has been adapted several times, most notably by Billy Wilder in 1957 as Love in the Afternoon. This edition illustrated by Russian artist Angelina Beloff with 29 original woodcuts. This title was published in the "Le Livre de Demain" series and would have been bound in yellow paper covers, this one has been rebound in red cloth.
Condition
Good condition, it is in strong readable condition, with some sunning to the covers and light age-toning to the pages. Previous owner's name to ffep.
