First French edition. Loose paperback book in faux-vellum and marbled paper covered wallet, this design repeated to a very solid slipcase. Printed titling to spine. The whole: 28.5 × 22.5cm, 16pp. French text.
A series of short lessons of art given by French artist and writer Louise Hervieu to Genevieve, the daughter of the gallery owner and publisher. The book has two full page drawings as well as drawings to front and rear cover.
Condition
The book itself is in very good condition, a little age-toning to the pages but otherwise a good, solid copy. The wallet has a little wear to the rear joint, and the slipcase has some light wear and age-related toning but is also in good order.
