Assumed first edition. Large hardback, bound in red cloth with printed black and gilt design and titling to spine and upper board. 32 × 24.5cm, 192pp + 8pp ads.
A large collection of engravings of historical scenes, kings and queens, famous battles, portraits, buildings, parliament, etc, some full page, others with fiver or so to a page.
Condition
Fair condition. The red cloth is torn at the spine ends with a small split of 4cm from the top of the spine to the front joint. The corners and cloth a bit rubbed and bumped but the contents are in much better condition, the vast majority of the pages are clean with a few having light spotted foxing. The inner binding is secure.
