A collection of short stories from the Welsh poet who died during the Second World War in Burma in 1944. They were mainly written during Lewis's army service and are a close statement of the environments of war, throwing a revealing light on army life and its social implications, sometimes humorously, sometimes tragically, sometimes delicately, sometimes with a biting realism.
Condition
The book itself s in very good condition with a little tanning to the prelims. The dustwrapper is heavily chipped to all edges and faded to the spine but has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve.
