A rare first printing of Caryl Brahms' first prose book (following a book of poetry for children) and before her collaborations with S J Simon and ballet books. This is a witty and irreverent look at marriage and married life with chapters on choosing a mate, the honeymoon, keeping your husband's love, divorce, and sex.
The frontispiece is by J P Sayer. a well-known poster artist of the 1930s.
Condition
Good condition with some wear. The boards a little bumped to the corner, and the spine is a bit faded and tanned. Light foxing to the prelims but the main body of text is in good order. The inner binding secure bar the ffep which is starting to loosen a little but still attached. Previous owner's name to half-title.
