Printing Details
First edition. Hardback in dustwrapper. 19 × 13cm, 131pp.
Not signed as such but with an interesting previous owner's inscription. Signed from The Sanatorium, Liguanea (This became the National Chest Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica) by, one presumes, a doctor, with a later note stating Morriston Davies's works were his 'bible' and that he was asking the author for an updated editions (refused as the author was, by then, too old).
A Second World War handbook to chest injuries caused through war, with chapters such as "Penetrating and Open Chest Wounds" and "Infected Haemothorax", and with a few illustrations within the text.
Condition
The book is in good condition, but with some old worming to the rear joint. The dustwrapper has significant loss to the spine but this is now within a protective sleeve. A good reference copy.
Books are currently zero-rated for duty (as of January 2026), so the price shown is the price you pay.
