Merimee's short novel on which Bizet based his opera, this edition the first to show illustrations by Lionel Lindsay which were original created in 1902 but were never published. With a tipped-in colour frontis and black white drawings to the text.

Condition

The book itself is in very good condition. The wrapper has a little adding and a small closed tear to the front. There is also the remnants of a price-sticker to the rear.
