The story of Gladeye from his birth in Ireland, being taught to jump, prize-winning at Olympia and Richmond, meeting Princess Elizabeth (this is pictured on the dustwrapper, and she sent him a box of sugar), and then war service in Macedonia and Flanders, and finally home to hunting, polo, and ploughing. Illustrated with drawings by Anne Bullen.
Condition
The book itself is in good condition, some fading to the cloth boards' edges, and light tanning to the endpapers but the main body of text in good clean condition. The wrapper is fair, it is complete but with some pencil indentations to the front panel.
