A lyrical tale of a deserted French fortress town repopulated by modern descendants. As the new inhabitants rebuild, they find themselves inextricably caught in the town's spectral past. Ultimately, the cycle of history repeats: an ancient battle is refought, and the town is returned to the ghosts, leaving it once again a ruin.
Condition
A good readable copy but the book has foxing to the page edges and a little to the endpapers. The dustwrapper is quite heavily chipped to the edges but it has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve.
