A rare English stage adaptation of De Rojas' fifteenth century classic of Spanish literature, Celestina (Tragicomedia de Calisto y Melibea). The story tells of a bachelor, Calisto, who uses the old procuress and bawd Celestina to start an affair with Melibea, an unmarried girl kept in seclusion by her parents. It was originally published in dialogue form and is here translated into English and written for stage by Spanish academic, David Castillejo.
