Printing Details
First edition. Hardback in dustwrapper. 33 × 23cm, 142pp. Issued as an exclusive in-house publication, this first edition was never intended for wide commercial release. It serves as both a definitive history and a beautifully curated archive of the Anna Freud National Centre’s eighty-year legacy.
A nicely produced retrospective of one of the world’s most influential psychoanalytic institutions. Moving from the Freud family’s arrival in London in 1938 through to the modern day, it captures eighty years of pioneering work in child mental health.
The design was award-winning and deeply symbolic. The dustwrapper utilizes a unique 'cut-out' typographic design—modeled after a children’s toy owned by Anna Freud herself—creating a layered, three-dimensional effect.
