A biography of naval officer and member of Parliament, Robert Fairfax. He took part in the battles of Beachy Head and Malaga, the siege of Barcelona and the capture of Gibraltar. He was briefly York's Member of Parliament but after losing his seat he spent his time at the Steeton and Newton Kyme estates.

A reading copy. This copy is ex-library and is stamped throughout. The book has been rebound (quite nicely) with the library reference stamped to the spine. The book remains in strong readable condition.
