A memoir by Eileen Baillie of life in London's East End in the first years of the twentieth century. She was the daughter of the vicar of St. Michael and All Angels, Bromley-by-Bow in Poplar. At the time the East End was considered a slum, prone to civil unrest and rampant epidemics. Here she warmly describes her childhood.
Condition
The book is in good plus condition with clean pages and secure binding. The dustwrapper is tatty with loss to the top edge and fading (and a small hole) to the spine.
