Full title: With Cochrane the Dauntless, A Tale of the Exploits of Lord Cochrane in South American Waters.
A roaring adventure story as told by a Midshipman serving with Lord Cochrane, the daring and successful captain of the Napoleonic Wars, during the war between Chili and Peru. This copy is illustrated with 12 black and white plates by Margetson.
A lovely copy. There is light surface rubbing to the joints and corners. The spine is very slightly faded with a little cracking to the leather. The pages have light and occasional spotted foxing but otherwise, this is a very attractive copy. In addition to the label, there are also two stamps to the ffep for the Nurses Library, and am inscription that has been neatly erased.
