Jules Verne's classic science fiction tale of three men who embark on an epic journey under the sea with the mysterious Captain Nemo aboard his submarine the Nautilus. Over the course of their fantastical voyage, they encounter the lost city of Atlantis, the South Pole and the corals of the Red Sea, and must battle countless adversaries both human and monstrous. Illustrated with colour and black & white plates from Edouard Riou's drawings.

Condition

A good copy for age. The red cloth is a little faded and bumped but in generally good order. The pages are lightly foxed throughout with occasional heavier foxing. All plates are present though the frontis is starting to loosen and the plate at p100 is neatly detached. Previous owner's name to ffep. Small school stamp to the first page of text.
