T S Eliot's play that starts out seeming to be a light satire of the traditional British drawing room comedy but as it progresses, however, the work becomes a darker philosophical treatment of human relations. This copy comes with a programme for an early production (New Theatre, 1950) and the booking slip for tickets issued through Keith Prowse. A previous owner's name to the ffep is Alan E Comyns, an author of chemistry reference books.
The book is sunned to the spine and boards' edges but the contents are in very good condition.
