Vernon Knowles' novel based on his own childhood, this is the story of a sensitive boy growing up in Adelaide before the First World War. Knowles was an Australian author, perhaps best known for a series of fantasy stories, The Street of Queer Houses and other Tales.

This copy is in good condition for age. The dustwrapper has some light wear to the edges and a slight water stain to the front panel but has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve. The book itself is in good, solid shape though with some overall fading to the green cloth binding but the contents are in good clean order with a few specks of foxing to the endpapers.

Please note: Due to the recent price rise for final mile delivery from USPS, our postage rates to the US have had to rise. We apologise for this but have no choice.
