This is a single issue of The Month, a monthly review published from 1864 to 2001, which for almost all of its history, was owned by the English Province of the Society of Jesus and was edited by its members. It carried a series articles, poems and prose as well as editorial comment on current events and subjects of interest to its Catholic readership.
This issue includes The Future of Christianity in Great Britain by Francis Woodlock and Flight from Poland by Irena Bochwicowa, an account of fleeing the Nazis. Also included are private penance in the early Church and James II and the Bloody Assizes.
This copy is in fair condition, the covers are detached from the contents and worn to the edges. However, the text remains perfectly readable.
