An early history of the workings and achievements of the London County Council during the first twenty-one years of its existence, including sanitation, temperance, public health, housing, lunatic asylums, theatres, parks, education, steamboats, the Port of London, finance etc, under the Progressive majority of 1889–1907, and the Moderates of 1907 to 1910.
This is a rare London book, and is in good condition only. The covers are a little dog-eared, and the stapled binding has rusted, staining the pages. However, the main body of text has clean pages and is in strong readable condition.
