Founded in 1891 by Baron Maurice de Hirsch (the author was a former managing director of the Baron de Hirsch Fund), the Jewish Colonization Association (JCA) was in its day one of the greatest philanthropic enterprises in the world. It's first main objective was to relieve the plight of poor Russian Jews by moving them to farms in Argentina and became a great success so it expanded to farms in Canada, Brazil, Cyprus, Turkey and Palestine. During the 1930s and Second World War, it assisted migration from Germany, and in later years concentrated on Israel.
Condition
A good plus copy. There is a little light dusting to the top edge and some light sun-fading to the wrapper's spine.
