This is a detailed history which covers the first half-century of the America's Cup yachting competition beginning with the invitation to England to compare yacht speeds and the birth of the contest. Illustrated throughout with photographs, drawings and plans, with appendices of race records.
This copy is in excellent condition with clean pages and secure binding. A previous owner has embossed the title page with his stamp "from the library of..." but this does not detract from the quality of the book.
