The House by the River
A thriller from A P Herbert in the original dustwrapper
Seventh edition, hardback in dustwrapper. 19 × 12.5cm, 236pp.
A thriller from A P Herbert, first published in 1920. From the dustwrapper, "What would you do if you, a respectable young man, had committed a murder? The question is answered in this enthralling and realistic story". The novel was filmed in 1950 by Fritz Lang.
A very good copy. There is light wear to the wrapper's edges and grubby marks to the back but it is now within a protective sleeve.
