The Transportation of Gases, Liquids and Solids
by Means of Steam, Compressed Air and Pressure Water (1909)
First US edition, hardback bound in the original cloth with printed titling to spine and upper board. 23.5 × 15.5cm. v, 197pp + ads.
Quite a scarce first edition. Illustrated with 193 diagrams, this book is "a complete description of the theory, construction, operation and application of jet machines, montejus, spray nozzles, etc., for chemical, metallurgical, mining, mechanical and civil engineers".
The cloth binding is in fairly poor condition, with tanning, fading and spotting all over, and a stain to the rear board. However, the contents are in much better condition bar some spotted foxing to the prelims. The main body of text has clean pages and the binding is secure.
Please note: Due to the recent price rise for final mile delivery from USPS, our postage rates to the US have had to rise. We apologise for this but have no choice.
